At Medireach Africa, we recognize that the fight against HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) is not only a medical challenge but also a social one. Poverty, stigma, poor nutrition, and limited access to care continue to fuel the spread of these diseases and prevent many from seeking timely treatment.
Our HIV/TB program combines quality health services with interventions that address the social determinants of health that shape vulnerability and recovery.
We focus on:
- Prevention & Awareness – Community education, testing, and counseling to break the cycle of new infections.
- Treatment & Care – Strengthening health facilities and community-based systems to ensure access to lifesaving antiretroviral and TB treatments.
- Support Systems – Linking patients to nutritional support, psychosocial care, and income-generating opportunities that enhance adherence and recovery.
- Stigma Reduction – Engaging communities to build understanding, acceptance, and compassion for people living with HIV and TB.
- Integration – Combining HIV/TB services with maternal, child health, and primary care to make access easier and more holistic.
By addressing both the medical and social barriers, we aim to reduce new infections, improve treatment outcomes, and restore dignity and hope for individuals, families, and communities affected by HIV and TB
